The rural landscape of Sveta Jelena is a small area that has largely preserved its traditional features. Sveta Jelena includes numerous smaller traditional hamlets that are scattered throughout the area. The hamlets are closely linked to agricultural areas with a large amount of quality land on which cereals were grown. Further away from the hamlets, on the rocky parts that are less suitable for agriculture, there were pastures, though in places these parts were also terraced and used for the cultivation of crops. Although partially neglected, the landscape of the area has retained its former organisational features.

The medieval church of Sveta Jelena (St Helena) is located on a spot with an impressive view of the surrounding landscape and the wider area of Kvarner. On the front of the church, there is a mysterious solar relief, the meaning of which is still a subject of speculation.
