The steep eastern slopes of Bukovica and Kobilina, located between 300 m and 600 m above sea level, are characterised by a pronounced and relatively uniform gradient. The dominant feature is forest vegetation, which occupies the largest part of the area. This developed on the remains of the former pastures, whose traces are still relatively clearly visible. The pasture landscape can be recognised by numerous long, straight dry stone walls, enclosed individual pastures and sheepfolds, but also by some bare areas covered with pasture rock that have not yet been taken over by the expanding forest.
