The mountain pastures of Senožeti and Vela Ravan include the bare glades of the Učka ridge in the area of Senožeti and Vela Ravan. The area can be experienced along the Učkari MTB cycling itinerary that starts from Mošćenice.

The relief of the area includes a relatively flat area of the mountain ridge at an elevation of between 800 and 900 m above sea level with alternating sinkholes and low hills. The area features shallow and dry soils with small individual sinkholes with deeper soils. Such sinkholes were surrounded with dry stone walls, in some places additionally parcelled and levelled, and used for growing the hardiest vegetable crops and cereals. Other features include hay meadows, glades and pastures. After the area was abandoned, it gradually became overgrown with successional vegetation and forest, which is currently present in individual groups or smaller zones scattered throughout the area, although meadows are still its main feature. Meadows are also crucial for increased biodiversity and play a significant role in creating an additional visual and ambient attractiveness in the area.
