The relict landscape of seasonal settlements includes a mountain valley that runs parallel to the ridge of Učka. The area can be experienced along the Town, Village, Mountain and Učkari MTB itineraries.
The relief of the valley extends between 650 and 800 m above sea level. The centre of the valley slopes gently from north to south, but its sides are relatively steep. The slopes are characterised by shallow soils, while the central part features a larger amount of accumulated higher quality soil. The area of the valley is mainly covered by forests that gradually descend from the slopes towards its centre. In the central part of the valley, there are still open areas of meadow, next to which there are the ruined remains of shepherds’ dwellings known as dvori. These are dry stone buildings that served as outbuildings and temporary dwellings during work in the mountains or during the summer grazing, which took place on meadows and pastures that occupied much larger areas in the past. In addition to the meadows and pastures, another prominent feature of this area is the dolines surrounded by dry stone walls where hardy vegetable crops and cereals were grown. Local sights of interest include several restored dry stone buildings and a preserved grain threshing floor (locally known as a gumno) located next to the village.
