The relict landscape of Mošćenice encompasses the wider space around this historic town, including the hamlets of Rovini and Selce. It can be experienced via the following itineraries: Učkari MTB; Town, Village, Mountain; Učkari MTB. These start next to the historic centre of Mošćenice. It can also be experienced on the short itinerary To Mošćenice and Back, whose starting point is in Mošćenička Draga.
The relief of this landscape includes moderately steep slopes stretching between 100 and 500 metres above sea level. Their uniform incline is partially interrupted by the streambed of Vodna Draga – a torrent with steep sides that extends along the entire height of the area.
The landscape is dominated by macchia and young forests, which have expanded to previously cultivated areas through the process of succession. Although the current appearance of the landscape does not give the impression of human influence, this is an area that has been almost entirely changed and shaped by humans. A large part of the area is covered with dry stone terraces, which in the past mostly featured vineyards. Today, the terraces are largely neglected and overgrown with macchia, except for the areas next to the villages where their cultivation continues.
In addition to the rich cultural landscape, a special attraction of the area is the Vodna Draga canyon, which is distinguished by its biodiversity and a permanent source of drinking water.
