This landscape unit includes the small town of Brseč and its surrounding agricultural area. The area can be experienced along the To Sisol excursion itinerary, which starts and ends in Brseč, and the Kvarner Dream cycling itinerary, which connects Mošćenička Draga and Brseč.
Brseč Plain includes the flat part of a flysch valley along whose edge the bed of an intermittent torrential stream runs. The plain includes a large amount of fertile soil and a pond, which is why the area was favourable for settlement in the past.
The landscape of the plain is characterised by an irregular patchwork of plots, slightly terraced and maximally adapted to the relief. Today only the remaining meadows and pastures, arable fields and vineyards, and some olive groves indicate that this was once an agricultural area. Traces of parcelling and historical maps show that the plain was much used in the past, but today it is largely neglected and has been left to succession, having become overgrown with macchia and forest.
The most distinctive feature of the area is the historical centre of Brseč with its numerous buildings of cultural, historical and architectural importance. This small town still has preserved parts of ramparts, narrow lanes and passages, a church bell tower, town loggia and other historically significant structures and features.
